Sweet Abbott is so precious. I loved her little tutu and headband :) We had the best fall afternoon for our session, the weather was JUST PERFECT! So perfect that baby Abbott fell asleep in her mama's arms while I was taking pictures. Am I really that boring? ;)

A post without pictures: New Pricing Structure, Schedule and a Wedding

Hi all,
Just a reminder that my new pricing will be in effect as of Dec. 1, 2010. I have decided after over a year without offering packages, that it's about time :) Also, I will now be offering digital files included in some of the packages because it seems like more and more clients are wanting some of their images (on CD) to have forever.
Please let me know if you have any questions, would like to view my new pricing information, etc. I have really enjoyed all of my fall sessions and looking forward to more holiday sessions to come!
(side: my session fee is still $75 for family sessions; $100 for newborns)

On another note, I will be headed to Rosemary Beach on Friday morning to shoot the wedding of Lisa Ness and Patrick Greene. I am VERY excited and can't wait to come back and share images from their beautiful day! I will be teaming with with Elizabeth Wiggs Photography for the weekend and couldn't be more excited!

Please excuse a delay in email responses over the week, I will try my best to respond as soon as possible. Thanks so much!

ETA: I am very close to being booked through the end of the year. I have a couple sessions left in December, but for the most part, I am now only booking for the start of 2011. Please let me know if you are interested in a Jan or Feb date. I do not know how quickly these spaces will book up, so get on the calendar if you are needing a wintertime session :)

For those of you that know this family, knows that our session was LOTS of fun. Sweet Annie is three years old and is as sweet and precious as she can possibly be. She was SOOO good...and did everything we asked her to do! She was a photographer's dream. :)
Annie's dad went to school with my husband...so it was extra fun getting to hang out with him and his beautiful family. They are so laid back...and they were very easy to work with. I loved so many of our family shots, but I had to save a few to be a surprise! Did I mention Annie's smile? Ohhhh, melt my heart. She is WAY too cute for words.

I met this sweet family for the first time today. All three kids were super well behaved and we had a really good time together. For the first time in weeks, we weren't sweating by the end of the session. Hello, Fall! :)
Mom had a good idea of what she wanted out of our session, so we worked quickly and I think we got some cute shots of these three. They are similar ages to my kiddos and I think it's pretty safe to say there is never a dull moment in the W household ;)

This sweet little man is one of my baby planners. I came to Memphis to photograph him this week, but his parents failed to tell me that he wasn't excited about this. AT ALL. ;)
His Nana kept him the day of our session and said he hardly napped at all, so when I got there, he was sound asleep. We woke him up to take some pictures, but I'm not sure he was ever completely awake ;) Having said that, he is even more beautiful than he was as a newborn and has gotten SO big. At his newborn session, I think he was only 5 pounds. He has the most precious little face and I can see why Mom and Dad are so in love. :) Thanks H family for allowing me to photograph little Luke! I look forward to our next session in December :)

This sweet little girl has grown up SO much since our last session in March. She is talking up a storm...has her own little personality and is just cute as can be. I've been photographing this little guy since he was a newborn. I can't believe he is already 8 months old! Next time we have a session, he'll probably be walking! Little Nora got out of the car all ready to go. She was all smiles pretty much the entire time I was with her. She had the cutest little expressions! Right about the time we were wrapping up our session, she told us she was all done. She kept saying "no smile". I'm pretty sure that was her sweet way of saying "put your camera away lady, we are finished!". ;)

If I've photographed your little girl before, you've probably heard me talk about Briar Claire. This business has a shop on etsy.com and makes the most A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E little headbands, flowers, bows, etc. Every accessory your little girl could ever want for her hair!! :)
Recently, I was contacted by the owners of briar.claire asking if I would take some photographs of their new product line. Because that included me being able to use their precious items for my sessions, I happily agreed. Dismuke Family: Celebrating Mimi's Birthday

I have been so excited about this session. Catherine contacted me a while back about having pictures taken on her grandmother's birthday...which was also a photo shoot with four generations :) What a blessing! A few relatives came from out of town, they were all dressed and ready with Mimi...and down came the rain! Total bummer! However, we made the best of it...and sat under some trees (but still got SOAKED) to capture this special day. :)

Mimi, I hope you had a wonderful birthday. It is very evident that your granddaughter and two great grandchildren love you to pieces. I really enjoyed capturing your beautiful family!

This sweet little girl was just full of personality. She talked...and talked...and talked...and was really fun to listen to ;) She would tell me all kinds of things...and if I asked her any questions...the answer was ALWAYS "yes". As you can see for yourself, she is about as cute as they come :)
And let me tell you...she did BEAUTIFULLY considering the UNBELIEVABLY hot afternoon we had here.
I'm pretty sure it hit 104 and it felt every bit that hot.

These handsome boys were SOO cute together. They were really really sweet and well behaved and were just perfect during our session. I loved their smiles best of all. Wilson had a toothless grin that was just precious and little Reid had the most contagious smile I've ever seen. I think he thought our photo session was really funny and couldn't help but smile constantly. This sweet little girl was SOO alert and did NOT want to sleep for me. She wanted to be held and cuddled and fed...and everytime we would lay her down, she would let us know she wasn't happy ;)

This sweet little guy was a DREAM to work with. He slept pretty much the entire time...let me move him several times and was just a happy camper :) Will and his mom and dad live right behind me and I had never met them before, so it was fun to visit while I took their newborn photos. I had a really fun time with these two USJ girls this afternoon :) They were perfect little models! I have to admit...it felt a little awkward not having to chase after and blow bubbles at my subjects ;) It's a fun change to photograph people who actually do what you tell them to :) Thanks Shelby and Grace for braving the HOT. These sweet kiddos were SOOO unbelievably good for our session. With the help of a few skittles from mom, they did beautifully. Mom did such a great job coordinating them (it's not as easy with three!) and they looked so precious together. Another client of mine owns some property with this little gap through the woods that I've found to be one of my favorite 'shooting grounds' ;)
It is just perfect for little ones and I think makes the prettiest portraits. Thanks Payne family for a wonderful morning together! Hope you find some you love, Rach :)

This sweet little girl is 11 weeks old and belongs to a sweet friend of mine. :) Laynie was just precious and was SO good the entire time. This sweet little girl was ALL over the place. She didn't want to sit, even for a second...and she LOVED the stairs. She took a couple of tumbles...but seemed super tough and just kept on going. This little man was just precious. He is exactly ONE day older than my sweet baby...and it was SO fun to watch him play in his yard. Red, White and Blue

We're back from vacation and SOOOO happy to be home. It was a REALLY fun trip...but anyone with multiple children knows that a week away from home can be exhausting!! I will be back with more photos from our vacation, but just wanted to share a few before I start unpacking. Ack!

My middle child...who as of lately, REFUSES to look at the camera. Or show his face, for that matter. I'm not too terribly upset about this YET...because his sister went through this same thing around his age and she's loving (ie tolerating) the camera these days ;)

Vacation and My Little Guy

As most of you know, today is the first day of our vacation. So, if you email this week or are trying to contact me, please give me some time to respond. I'll be back to work and posting sessions beginning, Monday July 12th. I'm really excited because I have several newborns the week I get back! As well as a maternity session and a wedding that I'm second shooting with my friend. :)

In other news, I'm hosting a clothing show at my house in Jackson on Tuesday, July 13th and Wednesday July 14th. It is a clothing line in Memphis that I have been really excited about coming to Jackson. Many of you will receive invites, but if you don't...please come by and see all the cuteness! This family traveled all the way to Jackson from Chicago for a photo shoot with me.

Ok, I lied. They really came to visit family.....but I can still pretend, right? ;)

Sweet baby W is about 9 weeks old now. And while I avoided photographing this age for such a long time, I've recently really enjoyed it! They are so smiley and making all kinds of sweet noises...and this little guys face would just light up when his mom and dad walked up. So precious! The H family: 1 y/o and 3 y/o

These sweet kiddos had the best little personalities and were SO much fun to chase around. :) They were seriously the fastest two kids that I've ever photographed. Everytime I got ready to shoot, they were looking the other way, jumping, skipping or running in the opposite direction! Having said that, I still got a few shots that I loved. And let me tell you this...this family has a daddy's girl on their hands. I have about 7 pictures showing this little girl just adoring her daddy. I have a feeling his feelings for her are mutual ;)

This little guy was just so precious. He is about 5 weeks old and every ounce of him is total cuteness! I'm excited b/c he's now one of my baby plan clients so I get to watch this little man grow up! He was VERY alert...looking around the entire time. As soon as I put my camera away, he feel asleep in his mommas arms and I have a feeling he stayed that way for a while! Big Sisters

These little girls were just precious. They were so sweet to each other...and so polite the entire session. They were very soft spoken and would casually and kindly suggest things to do for each picture. It was really really cute! I loved talking to them...and watching them interact with each other. You can tell big sister M adores her little sister. At one point, the sprinklers in the yard turned on...and M told me that we needed to get away from the water b/c her little sister's curls would fall out if her hair got wet. So sweet!

I had the pleasure of photographing their sweet baby brother a few weeks back...and it was fun listening to them talk about having a new baby in the house. I can tell these siblings are going to be best friends one day. :)

Mom and Dad contacted me a while back about doing a session with their baby boy when he turned 6 months, which happened to be at the same time they were celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary! I was so excited to capture such a special time for their family. Their baby boy was just precious...SO smiley and I really enjoyed my time with these three! This sweet family contacted me about photographing their family "reunion". The entire family was in town over Father's Day weekend and they really wanted some shots of the ENTIRE family. I know what everyone is thinking... and yes, it was SOOOOO hot. But they all did beautifully considering the heat. You can't even tell by their sweet smiles, can you? :)

This baby girl was UNBELIEVABLY good the ENTIRE session. She just sat and looked around and soaked everything in. She was super alert and content, but didn't make a peep the entire time. I had the pleasure of going to her home in Humboldt this morning and I completely enjoying photographing the bond that this mom has already made with her sweet baby. They were so precious together and my favorite captures of the session were the photos of mom and baby. You'll see what I mean! Hi Moms (and Dads), I just wanted to quickly let you know that if you have a newborn session scheduled with me...please email me when your baby arrives so that I'll know whether or not we need to move your session so that s/he is less than 10 days old (or around this time). Obviously, the newborn sessions we schedule aren't set in stone since babies tend to come at the most unexpected times. I leave a few spots open for my moms that deliver early/late and I'll be happy to squeeze you in so that we can get that tiny baby while s/he is still super sleepy/bendy :) Thanks so much and I am really looking forward to photographing all your little ones in the coming weeks!

C's First Birthday

I have had several inquiries for photos of a few products that I offer. I don't do a good job of posting photos of new/popular products, but I'm going to try to get better at it. Here are a few products that I've received emails about recently...and even though they aren't the best pictures of them....you get the idea ;)

Gallery Wrap Canvas (comes ready to hang). Notice how the photo wraps around the edges.

The next two are gallery mounts. They have a beveled edge and are perfect for storyboards. I just emailed a client to see if she could send me a picture of hers since I forgot to take it before I handed it over. :) This photo is of my family...pic taken by Elizabeth Wiggs.

Below is the custom cover coffee table book. The pages are done with a linen texture unless you request otherwise.

Baby A: 2 months old

This little girl was SO happy when she first arrived. She kept "talking" to me and was smiling so sweet. I had so much fun photographing her and visiting with her mom and grandmother and their beautiful home. We had all kinds of fun places to take her picture and the house had the best light! After the first few rooms, sweet A became quickly annoyed that we were interrupting her nap ;) We still ended up with quite a few cute captures! Congrats Mom and Dad on your new little blessing!
